Areola restoration is a 3D Areola Tattoo, a type of paramedical tattoo that uses shadows and highlights to create the optical illusion of protrusion to the nipple mound, even on flat skin. Additional depth and character are added to the tattoo by creating montgomery glands and wrinkles that mimic constriction of the nipple, if desired by the client. Every areola is custom designed to each client. Restoration is for those who have areolar loss due to mastectomy, have scarring due to nipple sparing mastectomy, breast lift scars, breast loss due to burn or trauma, breast reduction scars, hypo-pigmented areolas, male breast cancer, and top surgery. After being released from the surgeon, a 3D areola tattoo can be the final aesthetic piece of the puzzle.
